Josh McCabe

I am a PhD student in sociology at the University at Albany, SUNY. I received my MA in regional economic & social development at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and my BA in political science from Emmanuel College. I’ve been a research assistant for the Lawrence Redevelopment Authority and a summer fellow at the Beacon Hill Institute and  Ludwig von Mises Institute.

My current research projects include a comparison of Hayek and Habermas on positivism, an analysis of national and world culture approaches to anti-black labor legislation in South Africa and the United States, and an examination of the adversarial thesis as it applies to recent changes in Canadian taxation. You can find more information on my CV here.

I’m originally from Lowell, Massachusetts where we couldn’t tell you anything about Jack Kerouac but ask us about Micky Ward. I’m currently splitting my time between Albany where I’m finishing up coursework and the greater Boston area where my lovely fiancée resides.
